The "Pasquale Foresi" Library
Next to the lecture halls, an independent entrace leads to the “Pasquale Foresi” Library. It is organized with open bookshelves in two air-conditioned rooms, one dedicated to the shelving of books and the other to multi-media resources. The reading room offers the possibility of work and research, with 54 comfortable study-tables and Internet connection.
The library is open to those registered at the institute and to citizens of the surrounding region.

The library is part of the National Library Services (SBN) through the PBE network.
To use the catalogue, select "Ricerca" (Research) in the main menu, then click on the command “Opzioni selezionate” (Options selected) and select on the dropdown menu "Seleziona sede" (Library) the line “[PBE 41] Biblioteca dell’Istituto Universitario Sophia” (Sophia University-Library).
At this point, insert your research criteria (author, title, etc.) and proceed with your search. Once you have found the record you wish to consult, find the copy held at Sophia University Institute and its shelving location.

With 12 study-tables – 8 of which are equipped with computers – the media-library is an excellent place to browse online catalogues and to consult periodicals, digital records and multi-media resources.
