Emanuele Severino, philosopher and professor of Fundamental Ontology at the University of St. Raphael of Milan, professor emeritus of the University of Cà Foscari of Venice and professor of Theoretical Philosophy, History of Philosophy, and Logic and Sociology, will be guest of “Sophia’s Lectures”, the cultural appointment promoted by the IUS, taking place twice a year, open to the academic community and to all interested.

Convention “Man and Desires”

Keynote speaker of the opening day for the fifth academic year is Dr. Pasquale Ferrara, General Secretary of the IUE (European University Institute of Fiesole) in Florence, and professor of Political Theory for the International Community at the IUS. "My journey between the Old Testament, the Apocrypha, Apocalypse and the Gospels"


Professor emeritus of Biblical, Jewish and Aramaic Philology at the University of Turin, Sacchi founded the Review and the Italian Association for the Study of  Judaism. Expert on the history of Israel, he deepened different aspects of Ancient Judaism such as the Apocalypses, the manuscripts of  Qumran and the Apocrypha of the Old Testament.
